How Mobile Golf Simulator Hire Works in Sydney
Bringing a mobile golf simulator to your event should feel simple, not stressful.
Instead of moving everyone to a venue, The Pop Up Golf sets up a premium virtual golf bay at your location. Your guests step into a clean, fully enclosed hitting area, see a high-definition course on the impact screen, and play real shots tracked by professional launch monitor technology.
We use systems such as SkyTrak, Garmin and GSPro simulation software to deliver an experience that feels polished enough for serious golfers, yet friendly and approachable for complete beginners.

Mobile Golf Simulator Hire Process
Step 1: Tell us about your event
Date and approximate time
Location and suburb
Event type (corporate, birthday, community/activation event etc).
You can do this via our enquiry form ↗, by checking your date, or by scheduling a short consultation call ↗.
Step 2: Space Check and Setup Recommendation
Ceiling height
Rough floor measurements
A few photos or videos of the area
From there we recommend the best layout for your room, garage, backyard or venue. If something won’t work, we’ll say so. If it works with a minor adjustment, then we’ll discuss this on our brief call.
Step 3: Choose Your Package Based On:
Event duration
Number of guests
Whether you want structured competitions or casual play
Most corporate and larger private events choose a 4-hour package. Smaller groups and shorter activations lean toward a 2-hour setup. Full-day and multi-day bookings are available for University Orientations, festivals and brand activations.
Step 4: Confirm Your Booking with a Low 20% Deposit
When you’re happy with the package, we lock in the date with a 20% deposit.
This is a low-cost way to secure your event date while you confirm final numbers, timings and other suppliers. Full payment terms and conditions are available in our T&Cs ↗ or in our detailed pricing blog ↗ if you’d like to read more before committing.
Step 5: Pre-Event Coordination
In the week leading up to your event we:
Confirm access details (parking, load-in paths, lift use if applicable)
Reconfirm timing and format
Finalise any course requests, branding elements or competition preferences.
You also receive a simple run sheet so you know exactly when we arrive, when we’ll be set up, and how the session will flow.
Step 6: Event Day Setup and Hosting
On the day, we arrive approximately 45 minutes before the golf simulator is due to start and we’ll handle:
Unloading and positioning the enclosure
Assembling the screen, matting and protective netting
Connecting and calibrating the launch monitor and projector
Running test shots to confirm alignment and ball flight accuracy
Once guests arrive, your operator:
Welcomes players and explains how it works in simple terms
Manages the rotation so everyone gets a turn
Runs minigames such as The Longest Drive or Closest-to-the-Pin or other fun competitions
Adjusts difficulty and pace to suit your crowd.
You don’t need to run anything. You simply enjoy the event alongside your guests.
Step 7: Pack-Down
At the end of the session, we’ll pack everything down and ensure the place looks just as good as when we arrived. Professional and timely service.

Space & Power Requirements
Minimum recommended space:
Height: 3 metres
Width: 3 metres
Depth: 4 metres from screen to hitting position
Flooring:
Carpet, timber, concrete or artificial turf are all suitable as long as the surface is relatively level.
Power:
One standard 240V power outlet within 10 metres of the setup location.
Lighting:
Moderate indoor light is ideal. If outdoors, the area should be under shelter (marquee, terrace, or covered area) for both safety and screen visibility.
If you’re unsure, send us photos and measurements with your enquiry and we’ll confirm whether it works or suggest alternatives.
